Why can't I make a new char or play old ones

Please explain the error message you are running into in detail as well as the process you went through to reach it and any work arounds you have tried so far. Thank you.

It was pretty simple, I logged onto my account normally after I heard the server was back up, clicked change realm, went to the tournament server, next to the server it said I had 3 characters made. I went into the server to find my three characters were not showing up, I figured it was a glitch so I tried to make a new one. It gave me the message saying that I already had the maximum number of characters on the realm. Afterwards I restarted my computer, tried it again with the same results, went to the other computer, tried it again, same results again. I have tried exiting the game and getting back in several times, I don't have any problems other than the ones with the arena server.

All of the characters from the previous qualifier were deleted, so everybody has to remake them no matter which realm you were on.

The realm selection screen may still show the number you had from the first qualifier because sometimes it shows some outdated information that is stuck on your computer - this has happened to me personally.
