Confused about Shattrath City

I set my hearthstone to the Scryer's Inn in Shattrath. However, I'm not resting (its a 20 sec logout), is this working as intended?

Also, you can port from Shattrath to the major cities in Azeroth. That's handy.

But the only ways back to Outland I know of are 1) Have your hearth set in Outland, and use that 2) a mage could port you or 3) you enter through the Dark Portal. Is that correct?

That's quite odd. Maybe try running out of Shattrath and back in? It provides rest like any inn or major city.

As far as I'm aware (barring any very specific or specialized way into Outland) the major routes apply, correct.

[edit]As Amarsine said above a Warlock or summoning stone would work as well of course.

I just flew over to Shattrath and as soon as I was within range I was gaining rest.

Do you know if this lack of rested state is for everyone on your realm or just you?

It doesn't appear to be affecting all players on all realms but this is now entered as a known issue and we're investigating the cause.
