Banned for Keyclone, Upheld

I am posting this for a friend, as he cannot log on the account in question.

Good afternoon,

A friend is posting this for me on my behalf. (Everything following this will be my writing, and not my friend's). All of this is regarding my main account. Cynai on Uldaman is a character on the banned account.

I was recently banned during the May 20th banwave, with 'unauthorized game modifications' as the given reason. I have not ever used such a thing. I do, however, multibox with Keyclone, and have been subsequently informed that this application can cause false positives in anti-cheat detection.

I have contacted wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com, to no avail on this subject, with them telling me the ban was upheld. I do not understand why, since Keyclone is (in my understanding) an allowed program.

I understand you guys are not substitutes for Account Administration, but I would greatly appreciate it if a forum GM could possibly help me with this. If you want, you can take a look at the actions on my account and reveal anything and everything about it/the ban here.

When I heard people were getting banned unintentionally for using Keyclone, I emailed AA expecting them to fix everything, but apparently, they are upholding the ban.

If anyone could please help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Cynai of Uldaman

Name and realm of a character on the affected account?

Goodness. Pardon me for missing that. :)

Interesting. I'm assuming that Uldaman is the primary realm (the one on which such dual-boxing occurred)?

Can you provide me the name and realm from the other account (the one not affected)?

There are issues with the provided accounts that extend beyond an account closure; it does not appear as though any legitimate multi-boxing played a role herein. That said, though, I sincerely doubt this penalty will be overturned (sincerely best of luck, regardless).

Best to have your friend continue to dialogue with Account Administration. And perhaps check out Section 3 or Section 8 (depending on what's actually at play here) within the Terms of Use.

I acknowledge that when my friend gave me my secondary account, it was not within the Terms of Use. However, according to the e-mail that was sent to be, I was banned for game modifications. Why was I banned for game modifications if I was not in fact, botting or using any illigitimate 3rd party programs?

I appreciate your honesty; it's commendable. It's not, however, a means of absolution.

That one account was penalized and the other not is irrelevant to this point. We will not be divulging why the secondary account remained unhindered publicly, as too much may be gleaned from this admission. For any frustration this may cause, I apologize. I encourage your friend to continue his dialogue with Account Administration.

If you're not going to contribute constructively, don't.

Take some time to think about this.

Why are posters like Dottiemay allowed to continue posting in their negative manner, when it appears they do nothing but attempt to attack the OP or derail the thread?

Such posters weren't.
