First off, yes this post is about the recent "banwave" that occurred on May 20th, and yes, I have searched for the answers within this forum.

I have heard reports (from what I consider to be reliable sources) of people having their account(s) locked due to running an illegal third party program, which they were unaware was against the Terms of Use. Most noticeably, the software that comes with a G15 keyboard. I also understand that this software has been used illegally before.

Of course, ignorance of the law is no excuse. However, it is hard understand and comply with the aforementioned "law" if we do not have a full and complete understanding of it. Many, if not most, of the people who had their accounts taken away unjustly, could have prevented it, had they known their default software was against the End User License Agreement.

In summation, "Ignorance of the law is no excuse, but Blizz, we need to see the laws before we can comply with them. A non-inclusive list of stuff we shouldn’t have running would’ve saved a bunch of people, and your company’s reputation, a lot of flak." *

Also: I DID look for such a creation, however, I could not find one. If there is such a beast, a link would be greatly appreciated.

* a quote, but I will not reference where I retrieved it from to avoid his/her persecution. If anyone is to be persecuted for this topic, it is me, because I honestly think this is going a touch too far, and thusly, I am not afraid to voice my opinions/suggestions.

The point being, a list of the things that are an absolute no-no, or even of things that might cause false-positives, would be really useful.

I'm sure such a list would be quite useful, and for a variety of reasons, not all of them savory.

Suffice it to say that such a list is not likely to be forthcoming. The prohibitions we place on acceptable software/hardware activities are clear enough for those that might be considering delving into such activities.

So are you saying "Don't use the software that makes the G15 work, because we will ban you based on the software being installed, regardless the lack of any indication of botting?"

Cause if you are, I'm not going to spend the money on the keyboard.

That is not indeed what I said, and I do apologize if there was any misunderstanding.
