Naxxramus - then/still - And future pleas.

As typical, I will not expect for any blue response, as typically, they know me too well. But I'll still ask for their feedback.

And as usual, I will come out with my typical SARCASTIC - FIRST commentary, designed with the usual HIDDEN agenda, which is designed to inform blz competitors with the hope of them NOT doing the same BALANCE MONGERING STUPIDITY.

So,,, Naxxramus... WHAT AN EPIC FAILURE...WHY?

Yes I know blz is working on doing SOMETHING to it in the next (or so) patches.

I am referring to the dungeon "AS-IS" and "AS-HAS-BEEN" or, err "AS-WAS-DESIGNED" for level 60 raids.

The phrase which best describes this dungeon, is "LOL, YEAH RIGHT".

SERIOUSLY, How in HECK, did blz expect a level 60 raid to do that dungeon?

Oh, wait a minute, less than 1% did. IE, THEY DIDN'T.

About the only way I can see a level 60 raid BACK-THEN being able to do that dungeon is if the entire raid was 100% DECKED out in T2 gear. Everyone was soul stoned for every boss fight. Everyone had a Flask of Petrification (I feel bad for the eels in Azshara), tons of tubers and healthstones (before they were NERFED to share the same cooldown). And THEN, someone in the raid had a GM cousing to reduce the IMPOSSIBLE-LEVEL settings down.

That dungeon, is about AS-DIFFICULT, if not MORE SO, than SSC, TK, Gruul, and Mag, COMBINED. Seriously, on each gargoyle mob, just put "A" Gruul there instead. Nobody will notice. On the spider mobs, Pffft, just put King Mauldar and his adds, WHY-NOT?!??! LOL, on the locusts, just replace them with the naga from SSC, at least with them, it makes more sense for a mob to have 8K+ health for something the size of a Naga, versus the size of a grasshopper.

Sadly knowing, no blue will ever DARE answer, I'll still ask. Was it BALANCE MONGERING week when you designed that dungeon,,, or what?

I'm very concerned, that when/if you upgrade that dungeon, that its reward will be WAY too little (as usual) for the effort, cause, "AS-IS", it is already too tough for a DECKED-OUT level 70 raid. Take the "Roth" boss, his curses WIPE the raid, 70 or NOT, unless EVERY MAGE, decurses just about EVERYONE in less than 10 seconds. GOD, how did level 60's manage that? Let alone level 70's blz? Or, wait minute, THEY DIDN'T, cause less than what 1% ever got there?

OK, SARCASM OFF.. So, I make this plea to you blz. Make AT THE LEAST, the rewards from MOBS, not just bosses, BUT MOBS, rewarding, as well as the bosses. The gold reward ALONE should be somethign like 100G per player from a boss, NO EXAGERATION. That is, if you make it "level 70ish", The repair bills for levels 70's to do that dungeon "AS-IS" now is like 4G a wipe. So, rewards like 20G per player is WAY too low. Badges would be nice too.

Um, everything is done via /rand 1337, duh.

And I have heard a lot of players liked Naxxramas, so I hope you enjoy it at level 80!

I hate to see you guys killing it in WOTLK though.

It will survive, it will flourish, though it may depend on your glass of water.

Oh I have no doubt that it will flourish. This isn't meant as a jab so don't take it the wrong way, but the new naxx will do great because you are now catering to a strictly casual audience who wants those purples flowing like water.

I prefer my water served in crates instead of glasses, so the new "sippy" cup version of naxx probably won't be my...................

cup of tea?

edit - spelling

It will be an entry raid dungeon, yes, but if you are in the same group that was able to complete it at level 60, I doubt you will be in there too long, so it will work out for the more experienced raiders as well.

I'm referring to the "everything has a ten man version" of the gameplay moreso than naxx being entry level.

While some groups will blaze through that version as well, there will be a number of them that struggle on it as well, it won't be a cakewalk from one version to the other really.
