The AMA event was supposed to be directed to DEVELOPMENT, but a LOT of the questions I saw answered were lore related.

Dave Kosak is the lead quest designer. His role as a developer is very much linked to story. To quote my OP of the AMA itself:
Our goal for the next hour or so is to answer questions you have pertaining to patch 5.0.4, Mists of Pandaria, and everything in between regarding World of Warcraft story, content, encounter, and systems design.
