When did gamers turn crybaby?

There used to be respect to game developers cause they give us stuff to do but ive noticed that in wow/ Diablo/ mass effect/ etc 90% of the posts are from crybabies with entitlement issues. When did this start happening?
If you don't like the game, until recently, you would just quit the game and leave the forums instead of wasting yours and my time because i have to scroll through crybaby posts.
