Which stores are having Midnight releases for BC?

Will there be weekly maintenance on the 16th?

In preparation for the release of the Burning Crusade expansion, we will be issuing restarts to all realms. These restarts will begin at approximately 5 AM on Monday, January 15 and are expected to conclude shortly thereafter. Our regularly scheduled maintenance downtime will not be occurring for this week.

We will likely be performing all necessary maintenance the day prior so that players can get in on launch day and enjoy the expansion. If I orderred the CE, but it won't be getting to me by the 16th, can I upgrade my account using the standard edition, then upgrade it again with my CE code to get the pet?

You will not be able to update your account to the CE version if you update with the regular edition. What will happen is once you update with the normal key, the option to enter a key will no longer be available.
Can I level past 60 without buying BC?

Will I only be able to get the CE pet on my new characters?

Latest word that we have received is that the CE pet will be pushed to existing characters. All existing characters should have access to the CE pet.

Will I be able to play BC as soon as I install it, no matter what timezone I'm in or will I not be able to play until Midnight PST?

Once you buy, install and upgrade you will be able to play no matter what time zone you are in since you will not be able to purchase the expansion until midnight in that region.
*Note: this is still a little unclear, because we don't know if we will be able to upgrade our accounts before Midnight PST.
If I have two accounts, will I need to purchase two copies of BC in order to upgrade both accounts?

Will I have to actually install BC off of the CDs?

Yes, the expansion CD contains content which isn't included in any of the recent patches that have been released.
Will I need my original installation discs to upgrade to BC?

You shouldn't need your original install discs unless you are extremely unlucky and your computer goes on the fritz for some reason.
Will there be new realms available on the 16th?

It's actually been deleted twice after I've replied to threads saying we are planning on opening new realms with the launch of the expansion. If this one goes missing too I'm going to have to go office to office with a sack of oranges.
Will people who somehow get their copy of BC before Midnight be able to play before the rest of us?

No one will be able to access the Burning Crusade content and begin leveling again until the release of the Burning Crusade next week.
Will paid character transfer cooldowns be reset for BC?

We don't have any current plans to reset the transfer cooldown on characters. We'll let you know if that changes.
Will our current level 60s start with rested experience once we install BC?

If you are already level 60 and have been for awhile, you will not start with rested experience. However, as you begin to level from 60 to 70 (provided you have activated the Burning Crusade expansion) you will begin accumulating rested experience again the same as you normally would. So if you've been used to camping out wherever and whenever, you might want to work to break that habit and start camping out at Inns again.
Will Beta testers need to install BC or can they use their Beta client?

Will honor be resset?
