Will we see a hotfix on this soon? this may not be game breaking but it certainly is PvP/BG breaking. Nobody on the alliance side is going to be able to enjoy or compete effectively in pvp with the ability of the horde to cap flags from a distance.

I was looking forward to enjoying pvp this week before the expansion and maybe picking up a weapon. I cant imagine what this will do to world PvP in the Outlands which also involves flags.

Also the horde's honor earned from BGs today and until the fix should all be voided.

Orinaccio, we are indeed aware of a few issues with the current Battlegrounds, I assure you that they are being looked into. We hope to have a resolution implemented shortly. Thank you for your concern though, and making sure that this was brought to our attention. :0)

don't worry, since this gives horde an advantage it will be fixed quick. unlike all of the alliance advantage bugs

Have you ever conjured up any good reason for us to favor one faction over another? I just want to know what one thinks the motivation would be.

I know the stoplight by work clearly doesn't favor Mazda 3's. It turns yellow every time I'm getting close. ; )

Oh to hell with the off-topic posts and the Blue off-topic replies. How about giving us an estimate, time frame, update, progress report or whatever on the status of this bug and when we can expect to see an end to "Horde Exploit Bonanza 2007".

The latest information we have is that our development staff are working diligently toward a resolution. We will provide additional updates as they are made available to us.

Q u o t e:
don't know... wsg exploit where alliance could get up on top and couldn't be hit, but when you go to them, you have to go around a long way but they can jump right out? few months, with reports coming back as "clever use of terrain"... av graveyards? the alliance version of the get out of wsg gates? month or more... horde version of everything I've seen? less than a week.

I recognize that you feel as though these are legitimate examples of us actively favoring one faction, but they're still not reasons why we would do so. This is because the truth is that we don't favor one faction over another. We address bug or concerns as the come to us, not according to which faction reports them.

Edit: Since someone accidentally deleted my most recent post (I'm looking at you here, Berghe), I'm going to repost it here:

It would be difficult to say, as I'm not privy to the workings of our development staff. What you are asking for, essentially, is a redesigned Alterac Valley, making it almost a new battleground. For clarification on this, I would ask in the General forum.

I apologize if I got off topic in this thread. Please, let us keep this thread about the flag capping issue rather than about faction imbalances. It's my fault for perpetuating this discussion; however, it's not within a Game Master's realm to discuss, address, or report such concerns on this forum.

Just as an update, folks, it should no longer be possible to active the banners in Arathi Basin and Alterac Valley from an extended range. We are extremely sorry for this disruption of game play and appreciate all of the details and reports we received on the topic.

Now get back to Alterac! :)
