I've watched the ten-minute zone preview video two or three times now, and damn that looks like a hell of a lot of work... it looks like the guys at Blizz have been running on all cylinders for quite a while now.

These guys really deserve props. I can't even imagine trying to lead and develop a project as large as this with such a high degree of quality and detail in addition to actively supporting, developing, and patching the retail form of the game.

Of course, some people will say, "They gots tons of moneez, they can do anything" but that still doesn't change the fact that it's a hell of a lot of hard work creating something on a scale as massive as this.

We're really looking forward to everyone experiencing it and the team has been working very hard on it.

While we don't mind people discussing what they like and don't like in regard to the game on these forums, I'd ask that people please refrain from derailing this thread into a topic about other games. Those sorts of discussions are better to have in the Off-Topic forum if you feel it's necessary.

Please also refrain from profanity either masked or otherwise. Thanks.

Q u o t e:

Is there any possibility of Blizzard lifting its blanket prohibition with regard to discussion of on the forums un-announced information leaked from the Alpha?

This information is out there anyway. It's unlikely that it's going to be stuffed back into the bottle, since it's in the hands of people who are not bound by NDA who can mirror it, and it makes more sense to confirm and officially announce it, and let the theorycrafting begin, especially if the revised talent trees are going live before the expansion, as in 2.0.

Posting Unreleased Content / Hacking Data Files

This category includes language and/or links to websites containing such language or images which:

* Show unreleased in-game items, equipment, or areas that have been unlocked by hacking into client data files
* Show the results of hacking or any tampering of the game’s MPQ files
* Discuss, or display any data not available through normal game play

If a player is found to have participated in such actions, he/she will:

* Be permanently banned from the World of Warcraft forums

While these repercussions may seem harsh, we feel very strongly that this behavior has no place on the World of Warcraft forums due to its extremely offensive and inappropriate nature.
