Why was the season 3 gear removed from people who got their gear before they participated in the win trading?

Put yourself in my position, however difficult it may be from such a high moral standpoint. You can hopefully see where I am coming from in feeling slighted that all of the gear attained before hand is being removed as well.

I'd recommend reading my response to a previous post regarding this matter here: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=6417312464&sid=1&pageNo=3#41 .

We are not going to be nice about this, nor should we. These types of actions took place at the end of the previous season and it should have only made sense that it would take place this time around as well. Don't do it and you won't have any issues. It really is as simple as that.

Ignorance of our policies — as well as our previous actions — does not give you right to violate them, Abzinth.

You have my apologies for any confusion regarding the e-mail; if you would like to provide me with the name, and realm of a character on the account in question I may be able to request a more detailed e-mail be sent to you.

Win trading. I misspoke. I disagree. The question regarding the statement in the email has not yet been answered by a blue post. No one else has asked this question yet :)

Would it be possible to edit out my info once you have it so I know an email is inc?

You have my apologies, I forgot to mention that I can see edits. >.<

I requested an updated e-mail be sent in regards to the situation. Once again, you have my apologies for any confusion.

Let's keep things civil and on-topic, and I'll let this thread live.

So far most of you guys are doing well, but please don't let your outrage, or your respective schadenfreude, cause your posts to acquire a hostile tone.

Unfortunately, I lost two other accounts in two other ban waves Pre-bc (can anyone here guess what those were from!) I thought I learned from that, but the policy to take all of my season 3 gear away from win trading was just instated, so I guess I didn't learn how to look into the future.

Truly no offense meant, Abzinth, but it doesn't take Miss Cleo to predict that participating in any kind of exploitation can carry pretty severe penalties =/.

I don't know your situation in detail, but I gather you mentioned that you weren't personally win-trading, or something to that effect? If you weren't involved in exploitation, then I'm sure that an investigation by Account Administration should help return things to the proper state.

You do seem to have a considerable emotional investment in this situation, and that's completely understandable. I would ask that you explore the appropriate channels though, and try to prevent your frustration or anger from clouding your judgement regarding discussion of the material issue at hand.

I don't foresee a lot of further useful discussion occurring in this thread, so I'm throwing the padlock on it.

I'm sure that other opportunities will arise to discuss the matter in a polite and rational fashion though.
