Scholomance Key Quest Chain

I posted this in the Quests forum yesterday, but besides one good suggestion, didn't get much feedback. I've seen a couple times a GM here "help" out someone stuck like this....it dates back to my pre-BC days I believe, and I have no idea what to do next. If a GM can't answer it, well thats ok too, I thought I'd give it a shot.

So I decided to head back and finish some really old quests in Scholomance. To my surprise, it seems I do not have the key to even get in.

So I look up the quest chain, and have visited the following people, and none of them have any quests for me. So I have no idea what to do next to get the key.

Commander Ashlam Valorfist
Alchemist Arbington
Krinkle Goodsteel

Any idea where to look next? And yes, I am sure I don't have the key in my keyring.
