Do RP'ers stay in character while Arenaing?

Do you use proper period language and such? How do you justify entering the arena without your characters and their goals?

Any scholar of medieval (I realize that WoW isn't medieval, it's steampunk) studies will tell you that true "warriors and soldiers" despised Arena/Tournament fighters with a passion. Do your servers follow this?

It appears you're operating on a common and often incorrect assumption that RPers use Old English or Shakespearean. I don't when I RP and it wouldn't be suitable for Azeroth.

For me, Arena and Battlegrounds are not the places to RP. If I feel the need to RP during such a thing, I'd just create a macro. Otherwise, it's not what I'm there for.

Aye, fight head on and you may die. Run, around a pillar and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the epics, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to go into WSG and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FLAG!

Because we are down by two and we have all piled in the flag room.

I like it.
