Buying WC: TBC @ Midnight Jan 15..

Hey,

I was hoping to get an answer from bliz on this.

In Edmonton, Best Buy is opening up at 00:01 on Jan 16, to sell copies of WC: TBC. Here are my questions:

1) Are there many cities getting this treatment?

2) Is the regularly scheduled maintenance taking place at 03:00 MST as per normal, and the servers won't be up until ~10:00 MST?

I just want to know if there is any good reason I should go at midnigh to pick up my copy of TBC.

The time at which a store releases the expansion is up to that particular chain/store, as long as it's released on the 16th. I've heard of at least a couple chains holding midnight releases so I would guess it's fairly widespread.

We don't currently have any downtime/maintenance scheduled for Tuesday the 16th. We will likely be performing all necessary maintenance the day prior so that players can get in on launch day and enjoy the expansion. We are anticipating the possibility of rolling restarts on the 16th should they be necessary. If that's the case the time each realm will be affected should be minimal.
