Can the GM's help control the situation? Or will they just go go-karting?
Find out in Spiritwolfs latest comic EPIC. You can say you knew Spiritwolf before upper deck made a trading card of him!

No, but he's long been a denizen of the Customer Service Forum. And a friend, to an odd degree. :)

Keep'm coming, Spiritwolf.

Good visual narrative structure, and wonderfully tongue in cheek. I enjoyed the first round too, and I'm delighted to see that you're back =).

Also, I suspect that you are entirely composed of delicious candy. I welcome you, candy-beast.

Is there a customer service issue?

Nah, it's Off-Topic, and we like it.

Fortunately, we are flexible in our ability to address various issues, and also with regard to what we will, and will not allow. In the case of that thread, it was locked because it was a re-post on a moderated topic.

I'm having trouble telling if you're being playful, or if there's a sharp edge on that post. Did you have a customer service issue I could lend a hand with?

Q u o t e:

There is an off topic section. Seems flexibility only comes for those who are regulars. Also if i had a customer service issue i would wonder why an off topic thread is allowed in CS forum when they have a off topic section ready for use.

To preserve a friendly locale for those that view this forum as a community, while reducing the amount of off-topic comments in more pointed threads.

I assume you are asking if there's a double standard with regard to 'regular posters'? To an extent, there is. They are contributors that regularly help their fellow players, and on more than one occasion have proved themselves not to be trolls.

Does this make them more important than a new-comer to the forum? Not in the slightest (no offense, guys), but it does mean that certain posts may be handled slightly differently. In this case, the Spirit Wolf 'comics' were pretty tightly linked to the Customer Service Forum in the past, so this is not an entirely inappropriate place for the post.

If you are disapproving of how I am moderating this thread, you may send your concerns to wowgmfeedback-us@blizzard.com.

I will request that you refrain from further trolling this thread however. I've offered you the option of discussing a customer service issue with me, and you've opted to pursue a different line of questioning. If there's something I can help you with, please post a new thread about it.

I deleted specific posts to reduce the amount of kindling available for potential infighting—some were more or less benign, aye, but I eliminated anything that could be "taken the wrong way." Nothing personal, just trying to keep a civil thread civil.

If i do not have a customer service issue it should not matter what i say in this thread aslong as i am not attacking or cursing.

Some may interpret the chastisement you've placed upon this thread's presence as an attack, Hooahgirl. You're conducting yourself logically and more or less kindly, but it's the topic that's ultimately ill-fit for an otherwise perfectly benign and community-fostering thread.

Truly, if you have an issue, I'm asking you politely—really and truly politely—to approach the situation via our feedback address and leave this thread be. If you want to create an entirely separate topic questioning why such things happen, that would be fine, as well. In the interest of people "just all getting along," I'd greatly appreciate it if we ceased this line of discussion and took it up elsewhere.

Q u o t e:
Unreast is an off topic post in a non-off topic section. By the logic of the blues everyones post giving him compliments is on the same level as me disagreeing wtih the thread.

The point of this forum, Hooahgirl, is to allow players the opportunity to interface with the Game Master department more directly. It gives a face to an otherwise invisible entity. To create a sense of community.

This is what Spiritwolf does. He unites us under one comic, more or less. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that sentiment or that desire. Your posts, your direction—even if legitimate—are destroying the good-natured feeling this thread was intended to provide. With that in mind, no, your presence herein is not appropriate—nor are those that are responding to you negatively.

Please create a new post if you must, but do not continue on as is. It's a disservice to Spiritwolf, someone who was merely trying to share something kind and humorous with those he knows.

Guys, if this continues, I will delete every post after Page 1 (including Blue posts) and perhaps consider handing out brief cooldowns. I don't want this to happen at all, but I hate to see such infighting persist. =/

Edit—

Q u o t e:
And I don't believe Freckles has been disciplined by any CSF people, though I could be wrong.

I've personally suspended at least 8 regulars. It's really not a matter of favoritism when that sort of moderation is necessary.

You are merely going to let the forum regulars link my next thread into infinity and have them handle me.

No, actually. I intend to moderate such a thread heavily.

It's a solution; it's simply one with which you disagree. That you possess no desire to pursue the avenues available to you—one which I have agreed to set aside for you specifically—is unfortunate. I will not let you continue to post herein, as it's not the proper method of contact.

Q u o t e:
It is an off topic thread in a non-off topic area regardless of how you paint the roses red no one is going to buy it. Since this is an off topic thread e should be able to have off topic discussions it seems to be going well now that folks have laid off the insults.

Yes. It is off-topic, but it relates to the Game Master Forum and its denizens, specifically. It is also good natured and fun and—woo!—fosters the spirit of kinship. This type of thread belongs in this forum whether or not you approve.

Edit: Revoking warning and actually issuing a suspension. Please do not list posts with which you disagree as "keyloggers" unless they truly are. Thanks.

This thread was reported, giving me the opportunity to see Spiritwolf's latest installment. Well done. I've long been a fan, Wolfy.

Just to reiterate one last time, the Game Masters who preside over this forum shall choose how it is moderated according to the flow of the forum. Presuming to know how their daily tasks should be executed is fine; calling them out with such regards publicly, however, is not.

Feedback for the Game Masters here should be directed privately to WoWGMFeedback-us@blizzard.com. Any concerns regarding forum moderation should be sent to us at WoWReportedPost@blizzard.com.

Carry on folks! <3

You do realize some jerk ends up reporting almost EVERY new topic in this forum, right? (Or multiple jerks, cause almost every topic that's even SLIGHTLY different than someone poking fun of Blizzard, usually has the grey biohazard symbol, meaning it's been reported.)

Yes. In large part we leave the forum moderation on the CS forum up to the Game Wizards here.

Once this trinket has been acquired, however, you must pledge your allegiance to the Skettis Arakkoa.
