Opening the Dark Portal

What's your speculation of how/when we'll get into the Outlands ?

Blizzard's stated there's going to be some sort of "event" when the Dark Portal opens to the Outlands.
I doubt the event will occur at 12:00am Jan 16th, when most people don't even have the expansion installed yet. So maybe the Dark Portal will open after something else ? Maybe like what happened for AQ (ie. people have to gather 1,000,000,000 mats first) ?

Any ideas ?

The Dark Portal will be open at the same time as release of the expansion. We want people to be able to go through and get aquainted with the Outlands right away. There are some very nice demons and orcs waiting for you. :)

I have a feeeling that defensive camp in the blasted lands is there for a reason.......

I can't answer that one for you sorry. I guess you'll just have to wait and see.
