How do people commit over 100 days /played...

...to one character?

Now I know it isn't much time added up when you compare it to say a year of playing, but still, how do people commit so much time to one character? The fact that your account could get banned, stolen, etc, only makes me wonder how people can invest so much time into something, that could easily be redden of?

I mean I play hardcore at time (12+ hours a day), but I've never reached past level 50 something really, so how do you level 70's with tier epics do it?

I just don't understand..

maybe I have commitment problems.

I enjoy my alts when I get the chance to play them, but I also try and do everything I can and focusing on one character makes that easier to accomplish. I'm closing in on 140 days played.
