WoW and Download Limit on ISP.

Hey there.

I currently play WoW on 126k (dial-up) net because i live in rural Australia. However, the dial-up service is being phased out in favor of wireless (satellite) broadband.

While faster, the new satellite service have incredibly low download limits. I have the choice of 2 packages, 1g per month or 2 gig per month. We have 2 PCs here running wow on at least 1 for most of the day, nearly every day.

I was wondering if someone knew how much WoW actually downloads/uploads while playing and if we're likely to go over the 2 gig limit a month only off of playing WoW?

Any help is appreciated.

Simply put, there's not a massive amount of bandwidth used in the communication between WoW and your ISP. I can't really recall an exact number, but we had a fellow Aussie ask this question a few months back and we came to the conclusion that the upload/download limit wouldn't be reached during normal play. You might want to play for a few hours and check the transfer total, though, to be safe.

That said, man, that is a really awful cap :<
