Arena points did not update -_-

So I finished reading the newspaper and had drained the last of my coffee when I decided to get my helm and finish off S3 gear. Needless to say, I was pretty excited so I logged on and upon entering I saw that my arena points looked the same and needless to say, I was pretty upset. After looking at the calendar and seeing that it was indeed tuesday, I decided it was probably an issue with blizzard and that it would get resolved. I remade sure that i had a minimum of ten games played 30%, which I did and raced to the forums to the point where I am sitting today, a little worried and upset because I see no one else experiencing no arena point update problems yet me still sitting here wondering why out of all the people to experience this crap, it's me. HELP!!

BLIZZ FIX PLZ I STAYED UP ALL NIGHT WAITING OF ARENA POINTS NOW YOU HAVEN'T GOT THEM TO ME WTF!

IT'LL ALL BE OTAY. Really.

I'm grabbing as much information as I can regarding this issue; I just need time to both synthesize the relevant data and relay it forward. That said, I'm quite certain that we'll resolve this matter quickly—or, more pointedly, as quickly as such things will allow.

For those posting on differing avatars, please list your affected character's realm.

Thanks!

you do not need anyones specific info because this is happening to every single person.

Do too.

Often, these issues are isolated to a collection of battlegroups only. I'm checking for surety which battlegroups, specifically, are affected. If it's all battlegroups, then it's all battlegroups. No sense in reporting inaccurate information, though. :)

But, I also know people in my guild that weren't updated, so I think it's a battlegroup wide thing not just a few people.

Yar. If such an issue appears, it'll typically always be battlegroup-wide. :)

Anyone else noticing a lack of roll over between the "Today" and "Yesterday" columns within the PvP tab?

Are they wildly abusing the "Q" key? Otherwise, I'm not impressed. ;)

Realm Techs/DBAs have been informed of the issues, folks. All battlegroups are presently affected. I'll report back with an update once I'm provided with something interesting to share.

In the meantime, hang tight. Keep listing your realm if you wish. If not, that's cool, too. Whatever floats your boat, dudes.

Yes. You're a sage among men. A beacon of wisdom and insight among the blind and jaded. Should my position be founded solely on educated guesses, Alabamaman, I'd seek you as an adviser.

Alas, it's not. I fear it wasn't fated for us to be together.

It might be fate. It might just be incredible timing.

Either way, it's quite likely that our PCT service may be a bit wonky for a few hours yet. The feature itself typically takes a while to recover after scheduled maintenance concludes for the day (be it rolling restarts or downtime). So, you may have been waiting regardless of this event. :)

Hang tight, though, Monistatus. We'll get all you guys patched up and ready to purchase ASAP.

Last I checked, "42" was the report.

And no ETA available yet, Edarus. Based on my previous experiences with similar issues, though, I fear the manual push will likely require more than one hour (which I believe is the frame you mentioned earlier). Hopefully, I'm proven in the wrong, though. :)

Definitely.

This will obviously be a side issue that's investigated; but, in the meanwhile, any specific data like that is incredibly invaluable. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing any clear trends regarding with the honor display/"Today" to "Yesterday" roll over, but hopefully with more research we'll be able to pin something down.

Right now, though, we're def-def focusing on Arena point distro. :)

my arena games played are reset to zero... still no points though.

They're working on the matter right now. Promise. I've personally received no formal update as to when/if manual scripts will be pushed, though it could occur any time.

That said, speaking from experience, you may have to zone/log out and back in for the points to appear properly. Also, all battlegroups may not immediately witness a roll over at the same time—we'll normally stagger the distro to lessen the overall load.

Just a head's up. :)

One question,if we're online actually playing will it affect the arena points when they do addup/rollover like it used to with honor? Like will we not get the full amount until the next day or something? Thanks.

Considering that Arena points are updated on a weekly basis rather than daily (like Honor pre-patch 2.4), I sincerely doubt that this sort of "stop gap" in points will actually become an issue. There may be a delay in actual roll over witnessed hitting a few hours at most, but nothing long-term.

Anything is possible, though. Unlikely, but indeed possible. That said, based on past occurrences, manual Arena point updates typically show up without much to do.

We'll see. If anything of the sort does turn up, I'll be here. :)

Bloodlust is still processing the manual push as we speak. For all other realms, your points should be updated at present—if you're noticing a game tally reset but no roll over, simply relog your character. :)

Nagrand is part of Bloodlust. As, too, is Khaz'Goroth. The scripts have not yet finished for this battlegroup, so it's likely that, yes, you've yet to witness a roll over.

Typically yes. Other players on Kilrogg are noting that their Arena points have been rewarded? If so, have your games reset for the week?

Then you likely didn't qualify for points this week. May I ask if this is the character on which you completed your games?

Also, have you tried relogging since noting the reset?

Edit—

I've got a fever! And the only cure is MORE COWBELL! And possibly some arena points, that would be lovely ^____^

Alexiea, same question—have your games reset for the week? If so, relog. After that, if you're still not seeing any roll over, is your posting character the one on which points are believed to be missing?

Scripting will process through each realm within a battlegroup individually, so Caelestrasz may not have been yet completed.

That's one scenario. The second requires a bit of help on your part: 1) have your games reset? 2) have you relogged since?

Thanks. :)

Crunkjuice is the same: 2247/2666.

I'm trying to find out now what method is best for forcing a client-side update.

Many realms within Bloodlust are, yup, still running through the manual push. It's probably going to be a while before all within are properly synced.

Ashontyr, you've yet to receive an update. Alexiea, you're still pending, too. I'm checking each reporting character individually, so this may take a while. :)

Swordhunterr — 2787/3438

Hugetauren — 1085/1889

Yogoth — Doesn't look as though Blackrock has run yet. I'll check back with you later.

Zyrth — 778/1301

Silvarra — I'm not noting any update for your character, so it's likely Tich hasn't yet gone through. Again, I'll check back with you later.

So, yes, for those whom I've listed a numerical reference, you've received your Arena points properly for the week; it just looks as though something is preventing your characters from seeing that roll over within the display window.

I'm curious. If one of you was waiting on an item purchase (and only now, with the totals I've listed, can buy it), can you check to see if you can actually go through with the transaction?

I've been dialoguing with one of the Technicians responsible for this morning's Arena push and the preliminary concensus is that since these matters are usually "all or nothing," should the matter be on our side, no one should be reporting seeing the roll over at all. Even so, in a few hours, I've another contact coming in with whom I can discuss this issue more in-depth.

Thanks for your patience in the meantime, though. It's really much appreciated. :)

You're absolutely welcome to try a reset of your UI (by renaming your WTF, Cache, and Interface folders...and then not downloading anything again before relogging), but I realize this isn't exactly a fun process, so I have since refrained from offering this suggestion until I can confirm that this issue isn't on our end.

Again, though...you're more than welcome to try. Perhaps it'll work. :)

It may be something that resolves itself with time; I'm not yet certain. Again, I'm waiting another contact to come on shift so I can discuss this whole "points awarded internally, but not showing up for characters" matter once and for all.

Out of my own sheer curiosity—

If you've the space, can you try creating and deleting a character on the affected character's realm? This is merely a troubleshooting step that often helps "bump" server to client communication, forcing an update. By no means is this guaranteed to work, but it's something fairly simple to try in the interim.

Should it, indeed, not work, don't poke with sticks. They'll mar my pristine hide.

Looks like you did not play in at least 30% of your team's arena matches, Poseldon. It appears that your partners participated in 58 games this past week, but you were only involved in 11 of those matches. I apologize, but you did not meet the requirements to acquire arena points from this team.
