Daily Quest Rollover time

Good evening/morning CSF!

I'm sure this has been answered before, but a brief search brought up nothing.

Dailies reset at 3am CST before the most recent daylight savings time change. Since the time change, the in game mouseover of x/25 dailies claims they reset at 4am CST.

The problem lies in the fact that while your x/25 truly does reset at 4am CST, letting you begin again, it seems that any dailies you turn in between 3 and 4am CST are treated as if you completed then the next day.

For example:

Daily A turned in at 2:30pm, can be picked up again after 4am
Daily B turned in at 4:45pm, can be picked up again after 4am
Daily C turned in at 2:30am, can be picked up again after 4am
Daily D turned in at 3:15am, cannot be picked up after 4am, even though dailies have reset to 0/25
Daily E turned in at 3:30am, cannot be picked up after 4am, even though dailies have reset to 0/25
Daily F turned in at 4:05am, cannot be picked up again until the next day

I'm not sure if this is a problem on my end, though I'm fairly certain it's not, or if it's a universal issue and should be a bug report.

Any clarification would be awesome =)

Alrighty, Scrim. I sought a bit of clarification on your behalf, and believe I have an answer/suggestion for you.

When daily quests rollover, this process may not be instantaneous. Similar to the pre-2.4 Honor Rollover, daily quests may be completed during a window in which they appear to count for the day prior but actually count for the next day. As a result, the issue you have described occurs.

If at all possible, complete these quests before the rollover period nears. I suggest starting an hour or so earlier to ensure you do not experience the negative affects of this issue.

I apologize for the confusion, bud!

Seems like this is a logic flaw in the code,

Wouldn't know, Saro. :(

I forgot to encourage you to post this issue on the Bug Report Forum. That would be a great help. :)

Thank you kindly for your answer Aredek, and 'grats on your new feathers and beak by the way!

Thanks! I love my new avatar. <3

Q u o t e:
Might you be able to share any insight into why this situation does not seem to occur during the other daylight savings time period? For example, when the dailies reset at 3am, daily quests turned in between 2am and 2:59am are able to be picked up at 3am without fail.

Hm. This is an interesting point, Scrimshaw. Regrettably, I am unsure as to what the core of the issue is. This may be what is causing the issue to occur. I would recommend posting this on the Bug Report Forum.

Q u o t e:
Also, and this is mere curiosity, are you aware of any plans to make the daily quest reset an instantaneous process at some point in the future as honor kills have recently been changed in that manner?

Regrettably, I do not. :(

Lastly, punch and pie or coffee and cake?

Milk and Cookies!

For the record, I am not jittery. I am, however, looking out for those who might try to snag one of my trinkets or pluck a fine feather.

Jittery? No.

Paranoid? Maybe. :)
