Okay so I intended on transferring one of my characters from this account to a new account. I made a new account with matching contact info and my name but I found out that there was an error with the spacing. I called up Blizzard and they sent me an email about this:

Our Terms of Use dictate that only this registered user and one minor child of the user may use an account. This registered user must be over the age of 18 or of the age of majority in the country in which they live. It also specifies that the name on the account should be the first and last name that appears on the user's identification. We will need to verify the identity of the registered user before granting the exception of an update to the account in question. Please provide the following information:

1) A legible photocopy of the identification of the current registered account user. Only a government issued photo ID will be accepted. (School IDs are *not* accepted.)

2) A copy of the TOU form (found here: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=21469) completed and signed, the proper contact information should be used.

3) A legible photocopy of the classic World of Warcraft Authentication Key that was used to create the account, as came with your copy of the game. There are no substitutes for this item.

Problem is, I started up my target account with a 10-day Recruit-A-Friend key. I upgraded it to Burning Crusade a couple of hours ago(when I realized I mistyped the last name with a spacing). As you can see, I am required to provide a photocopy of my original WoW authenication key, which I was informed to get an email of as soon as I upgraded.

I only got a BC key emailed to me when I upgraded(and a notification of account upgrade from the trial account). What should I do?

Yes. I'd bring the issue to them straight up--you mistyped the last name and you're willing to provide ID, notarized or otherwise, to correct it.

I can't speak for Billing, but they should be able to assist if all things are equal.
