More Solo Content, please?

Good afternoon,

I have been playing since December 24th, 2004. Yes, this game was a Christmas present to myself, and it was duing a year I could actually afford Christmas.

Well, I've just experienced for the umpteenth time the disappointment of going into an instance and being told to put my pet on Passive. That's stupid, in the least, as it takes away about half a Hunter's ability to fight. It would be like me asking anyone who doesn't play a Hunter to take their most important ability and not use it while in the instance.

Being level 60, and having been in instances before, dozens of times, I do have an idea how best to use my pet, and to have some butthead with a mage tell me to stifle my pet is like telling me I'm inept and need to leave the instance.

Because of that, I am sick and tired to death of instances that are overpowered and harder to get through than they really need to be. Therefore, I am asking the Devs to put in solo content that will take me all the way I need to go, allow me to get the really nice equipment, etc., I need in order to continue to move on, so I may reach end game content as well. I took nearly four months off this game because I was so disgusted that the only way I can improve my character is to go into instances, and today I reached my limit again, after only four weeks of gameplay with various characters.

Is there anything you guys can do about this, please?

More solo content coming in 18 days...

It's still an MMO, though. :/

The problem with this, is that you want to solo to end-game content, where you will then have to be grouping again. It's sort of a contradiction.

Why do you want to reach end-game content faster if you don't want a group experience in the first place?

MMORPG is a title, nothing more.

Really? No, I think it moves beyond figurehead status or semantics.

The grouping experience is encouraged by basic coding and game design.

It's like saying a drama should be funny, because it's really just a label.

Actually, I do most of my leveling solo. I'm part of a very solid raiding guild and enjoy the end game as much as anyone. So I can understand the desire to level solo. It's relaxing. You do it at your own pace.

To level solo, Crepe. That I understand. And, of course, that is already built into the expansion.

What are we arguing here?

Some people that play MMO's want a Single-Player option?

Which they have!

Is it going to be the full scope of the game? No.

Dunno. Was trying to be supportive. So much negativity on the forums these days.

Didn't mean to bark, if you felt I did. I just feel like we're talking about why the sky is blue here and not green.

Why can't you have a massively multiplayer online game composed of a bunch of solo players?

Because everyone wants something different when it comes to individual play style or desire. There is no physically possible method at this time that can create content enough for all of them without resorting to copy/paste game design for large portions of content.

I think there should be an alternative (and solo!) method to get gear equal to that of end game instance/arena farmers. Make it take a LONG time if you want, make part of it some of the most challenging quests in the game but, for the love of god, don't make it cost a ton of gold like tier .5. All that does is encourage gold buying.

People would complain that it is too much of a grind.

I know you know that comedy is a subset of drama.

I know you know that.

Yes, fine. Bad analogy. ;)
