Why do so many people dislike PvP?

It's extremely fun and ynamic IMO> I wish more people participated. It seems dead at least in comparison to PvE. Everyone on my server is piratically lining up to do DS< but it's a struggle to find people who want to do dedicated arenas.

For some, it's about entering into an area of conflict. Not everyone enjoys pitting themselves against others, but instead like cooperating with others to achieve an end goal.

For others, it's because they've had a bad experience with someone who wasn't the most sportsmanlike PvPer.

Some just don't have any experience with it and only know what others have said about "griefers" etc.

In the long run though, I've seen more people take to PvP in WoW than ever thought they would. They were surprised when the found out that they enjoyed it.

The hurdle always seems to be simply just getting used to how fast paced the style of play can be and getting past the "jitters" that most PvPers tend to thrive on or learn to get past. ;)

2) They are female. Females do not thrive on superiority like males do, and thus do not feel much when beating someone.

Do me one small favor, and refrain from bringing gender into this. Male or female, I've found that there are just people who prefer different play styles no matter what.

You could flip this question on its head and ask why people love PvP too and you'd get a different tone altogether.

For me, it's simply for the very unexpectedness and human created variety that comes with it. And I like winning (or at least trying to win). ;)
