Report spam or send GM Ticket?

when someone is harassing me or using bad language inuendo in trade channel or in whispers do I have to open a GM ticket every time or can I just right click their name & report spam. I'm not sure if it gets sent to different departments & possibly the spam check people ignore it or send out warnings.
