I was referring to the statement that you could hear it anywhere within the zone if it's cast.
I'm looking into any other information on this.

More annoying than the PW:S sound is having to hear it every time for more then a year of playing.
I play with my sound on because:
I like the music
I like hearing when something or someone attacks me
I like the general atmosphere that sounds create
I also don't find the sounds annoying and most sounds become expected. When they are missing is when people tend to notice it the most though. Turning off the sound, seems an odd choice to me just as you feeling having the sounds on is an odd choice.

I am not a GM. I'm a CM. There are three letters between C and G so I can understand people getting it mixed up.

Would you ever make a post that doesn't support some default aspect of the game? Every CM post I've personally read is always trying to defend the game in its most basic form. Reading CMs say they raid without mods, despite being in the overwhelming minority come to mind.

Why wouldn't I support aspects of the game I enjoy? That doesn't make any sense. This isn't about defending anything, it's more about talking about the aspects we enjoy and sharing them with the community. In many cases, there are others that share our viewpoints and experience.
I've said in the past I've used no mods for raiding for a time and I have also used mods both. I even stated the reasons that I have done this in the past. It's easier to find out more about what things are thought of as necessary, but aren't, or things that perhaps we need to look into more to improve the game.
