Stuck dead, cannot release spirit

I'm stuck dead, just looking at my corpse. there's no way to release my spirit. I was having issues earlier where i'd be in the middle of combat and the game would stop responding to my combat commands. i wasn't disconnected as i could still chat and move, but any command including "exit game" wasn't responding.

Tried sys restoring to when the problem wasn't happening, tried the repair tool, no UI addins. tried deleting wtf folder. no change whatsoever.
