So what gives. According to tournament rules, everyone has to pay $20 to enter the tournament. But not Canadians. They write a 250 word essay. ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?!?!?!?

And, yes, allowing this alternate form of registration is what lets Canadian players the ability to even enter. So it's a good thing.

I've been so psyched about this tournament since I first saw it, and had even talked about something like it with friends before it was announced. It was like an idea come true. But I live in Arizona, which is a banned state. And nobody has said why. I suppose it's probably something to do with gambling, but uhh.... the gambling business is HUGE in this state...

So frustrating and disappointing. I'd donate or forfeit the prize, don't care, just want to participate.


I couldn't say for sure but I believe some states have restrictions on rewarding for "games of skill" (and you may want to write your local congress and explain that "PvP dusnt take skill lol") that require a payment or fee. It's not always "gambling" related.
