Magister's Terrace

Ok what was this instance designed for? It seems almost like a heroic yet it is normal mode? It like heroics and well ZA seems like it is scaled for those to run it and don't need the gear from it?

So with the 5-6 mob pulls it looks like it you need a group with 3 CCs, so 2 mages and a shadow priest or 3 mages or 2 mages and a lock to CC the demon.

So far I would say the new instance is a failure because the people that really want to run it, those that can't or don't have time to raid will have such a difficult time with it that like ZA it will not be worth the effort.

The boss fights are at least 2-3 times easier than the trash pulls? All I have to ask is what were you thinking?

I know it's easy to forget, but if you were around for the release of BC and spent a good amount of time running dungeons before anyone really knew what they were doing, there were plenty of times runs were called because we couldn't get through them. And yes, just like those times specific group compositions are going to make learning the dungeon that much easier, but as time goes on you start to shed those restrictions because you know what's going on and you can adapt easier.

Even with that said I would personally say that Magister's Terrace is probably the most difficult 5 person in my opinion, at least for comparing normal-mode to normal-mode, it has some very challenging boss mechanics, difficult pulls, etc.

But isn't that fitting? Shouldn't it be the most difficult 5 person in the game? Do you think Kael'Thas should be a chump in a chump dungeon? Naw. It's hard, and it should be.

No, that's dumb. The bosses are easy as hell, Kael we got down in two attempts on our first try. All the wipes were on trash. The instance HUGELY favors paladin tanks. I spend all my time thunderclapping leaving less time to build aggro on the main. The trash in this instance is just completely stupid. If the argument is that it's Kael, it should be hard, then the bosses should be the hard part, not the trash.

Hrm, well I'm not going to discount what you experienced but I had two runs with a warrior today and at least for the first run I think we wiped maybe once or twice at most on the trash. All of our other wipes were on the bosses. Running with a paladin later, who was probably undergeared, we wiped a lot more on the trash and then banged our heads into the Priestess fight before calling it.

Sad PUG is Sad.

I'd definitely like to see other peoples feedback though, if there's some legitimate issues or complaints we'll read them. I'm just not so sure the dungeon has been around long enough and people have really learned and experienced it quite enough to jump to hasty conclusions, that it's too hard, pulls are impossible without class X, etc.

Was really easy. Did normal and heroic, it was cake. Our group was resto druid, prot warrior, mage, rogue, feral druid...

I don't really think it's going to be all that difficult for BT-geared players.
