Lore -Why is Kael in 2 places at once?

Hello all.

It seems a gross oversight, in the context of the lore, that Kael'thas be allowed to be the all-powerful 25-man raid boss of The Eye, and a defeated, weakened 5-man boss.

I know that we always must overlook that raid bosses will regenerate themselves every week and so forth, on account of gameplay, but I've gotten the impression in this particular case that the "Real" Kael'thas is the one in the Magister's Terrace - this is quite possibly the largest act of story progression undertaken in World of Warcraft.

Couldn't there just be a little bit of creative writing in place to flesh out why "The Eye" Kael still exists? How about changing the name of "The Eye" Kael'thas to something like "Imprisoned Soul of Kael'thas"? With his betrayal, Illiden has taken a piece of Kael'thas' soul and bound it to The Eye to serve as Kael used to, thus players who have not yet been to The Eye will still logically fight the "powerful Kael" for a reason.

A little extra effort in the writing department would be nice, considering the importance of the characters involved. I can't say my hopes are high for Wrath of the Lich King, when it seems like storyline continuity and such are totally phoned in, or forgotten about. I know that there's some times when a player HAS to suspend disbelief for the game to work right, but this is something that with a little creative writing, could be addressed.

Come on. Show me that increasingly shiny armor and purple pixels aren't all that is cared about any longer.

When a character dies on page 10 how does he still exist on page 1?
