Arena Teams are very similar to guilds in that they are persistent groups of players with their own name and their own symbol, but there are also some differences between teams and guilds. There are three different types of teams, one for each type of match you can fight in the Arena: two players versus two players (2v2), 3v3, and 5v5. Unlike guilds, you can be in several different teams at the same time, but you can be in only one team of a certain type; for example, you can't be in two different 3v3 teams, but you can be in a 2v2 and in a 5v5 team. Also, you need to be at least level 70 before you can join or create an Arena Team.

Don't you guys see the flaws with this system already? Yea yea we can have bench warmers, well what if all 4 people are on and all want to pvp, 2 have to sit out and wait til someone logs out!??! Just make it so we can be members of MORE than 1 team of the SAME type!! This is going to create problems when too many are logged in or not enough. What if my friends are going on vacation for a week and I'm the only one going to be logged in, I can't play unless I disband my arena team and create another one!??!

People want a simple way to pvp, not so complicated creating teams and flags and all this. Just simplify it!!!!

Don't be a benchwarmer then. If you're serious about the arena you will be on a team. The benchwarmer spots are generally there so that if someone can't make it for that week you can invite someone else to fill in without having to kick the absentee team member out of the team.

This would only encourage players to be in as many teams as possible (and thus needing to play a lot) for a better chance at a higher score. That isn't our goal with the arena system.

You'll still be able to play on one of your other two teams, or you can invite benchwarmers to fill in for that week, that's what they're there for.

Are we going to be able to see these matches? because that would be really cool if we got to sit around and watch like in the arena in STV.

We would really like to be able to have other players spectate in these matches but there are some technical limitations we would need to overcome. I think we can safely file it under a wish list for now though.
