Black Diamond Warning - Blue Tracker

If you've been hording gems in anticipation of jewelry crafting you might want to check you stash of black diamonds - the stack size has been reduced from 20 down to 5 and it appears that for every stack of 20 you had, you may have lost 15.

Additionally, if you decide to hit the AH to replace your lost gems (a GM has informed me that the lost BDs will not be replaced) don't buy stacks larger than 5 as you will not be able to retieve them from your mailbox.

Hey all,

If you feel you are missing any Black Diamonds as a result of yesterday's patch, please post on the character experiencing the issue and describe the situation in as much detail as possible. For example:

How many Black Diamonds did you have prior to the patch? How many do you have now? Did/Are you experiencing any issues with your bank bag slots or other missing inventory? Where were the diamonds that are currently missing (i.e. main inventory, bank, mail, etc.)?

Any additional information you can provide us will aid in our investigation. We thank you for your assistance and patience. : )

If this was an intended change, the question is Why? In the past we have had many items with a 5 limit stack increased to 10 or 20, why reduce the stack size to 5 for the diamonds if they might just need to be changed back in the near future? Where is the comon sense in that?

This is an unintentional change, and is a known issue which is slated to be corrected in a future patch update. For now, we're attempting to collect as much information as possible from those who are missing Black Diamonds as a result of this change.
