Hi..

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/pvp/arena/index.xml did not state any information with regards to CC capabilities though I've heard alot about them thru the Beta forums and all the other TBC discussion boards.

Are there any difference in Arena, when it comes to sheeping/fearing/seducing and all other crowd control capabilities or is it just going to remain the same?

No spell functions differently while in the arena compared to outside the arena. The only differences are the arena limitations that would keep a spell from being used at all.

There has been some confusion on this point so I can understand the presence of your post, but let this be a final word.

I believe the confusion might have come from some posts made explaining that various CCs may not be as effective in the expansion and at level 70 as they are currently due to more stamina and the possibility of longer fights; however the actual functionality of the spells remain the same in and out of the arenas.

So the quote from http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=28463872&pageNo=2&sid=1#25 is no longer valid? (bold is mine)

I'm not aware if that was a change we were considering at one point but that isn't the current or planned functionality at this time.

Drysc is simply wrong on this one.

Well I asked the lead designer before posting, so I would be surprised if I was, but I can get clarification on "there is no difference between any spell mechanics in our outside of the arenas" tomorrow, although it seems quite clear.

You may be seeing general changes to CCs in PvP with the patch and happen to be in an arena, but as far as the information I just sought out there is no difference inside or out.

Drysc, could you please state the intended max durations for sap/poly/fear in pvp situations so we can know what to expect?
Even with the clarification, it's still a bit unclear.

I believe that information is out and about, but I'll have to double check the numbers I have before posting anything.
