Theres a filter for a reason. If they didnt want to allow certain words they could have BUILT THE FILTER INTO THE CLIENT PERMANANTLY. Then NOBODY would ever be allowed to cuss. So by not building it into the client where its always on for everyone and instead they make it OPTIONAL, they are then saying its ok to cuss and if you dont like it learn to filter. But people should have the right to decide what words they can see and dont see. People shouldnt be forced into grandmother mode just because people will not use the freakin filter when its there for that purpose. Take your feelings of self moral superiority and shove em up where the sun dont shine.

So if you dont like bad language use the filter..... otherwise shut up.

If Blizzard doesnt like it, turn on the filter of the words you dont like and lock into EVERYONES client. Otherwise neither the ratfinks OR Blizzard have any room to complain about language, ever. Cause neither one of you have a leg to stand on. I dont care if its Blizzards game or not, you have millions of people to play and you set up the mechanics to accomidate both sides of the issue. You gave up your grounds to argue this when you didnt build the filter into the client as always on without an off switch

Copied and pasted from last week:

Ahhh, I was wondering when this week's installment of this question would show up.

Same answer as last week, and the week before that, all the way back to November 23, 2004.

The profanity filter is provided as protection for those who don't wish to see those words even if you choose to break the rules, not as a free ticket to use language inappropriate for the game as per the Terms of Use you agreed to upon registering your Account.

If you choose to break the rules, expect to be reported, and expect the appropriate consequences. My suggestion? Don't swear.
