Castsequence reset on death?

I want my cast sequence to reset on death, but I can't get it to work. I tried:

reset = target = player,dead

but that resets when I target myself, so I tried:

reset = dead

but it still didn't reset when I died. Any suggestions? Sorry if this has been asked before, I looked but couldn't find it.
