It's basically useless now.
You can still link it in guild chat every few months and be mean to those guildmates who didn't get one. This mount was created for the Ahn'qiraj 40 person instance and we don't have any plans to reuse them right now.
The game moves forward.

People want bug mounts. Not the black one/legendary one. Those are special. How about some regular o'l bug mounts. Ofcourse they should be Epic Mounts and have to be farmed but it would give a good reason to go back to old Content.
We obviously can't promise anything in particular, but hopefully there are some new mounts in Wrath of the Lich King that you can enjoy instead.

Nope, but we are moving forward with new armor models and new creatures which is related to your question. ;-)

In this thread's case, if I had a Red Qiraji mount, I'd totally keep it in my bank for all time and would love the opportunity to use it too. But I know that that isn't likely to happen outside of good old fun runs to AQ40 and our buddy C'thun.
While it may involve a lot of "shooting down" questions, I think it helps to let people know where we stand on things so instead of pushing for something that isn't likely to happen they can focus their interests on the things that actually are happening.

i don't see the problem with makeing them rideabe out side the instance myself. you change a setting on the item and BAM, we can go for a ride on our bugs where ever we please. you don't even have to make anything, just change the restrction on it. Its not that hard. Its not like they are asking you to make them able to fly, just to use a item they worked for.
I never said it was something that would be hard to do, using these mounts outside of the instance is something they were not intended for in the first place and we don't have any plans to alter this. Flying bug mounts, sheesh. ;-)
