Cannot log in or transfer "Update initiated"?

I've been playing on a new server for the past 5 months and decided I'd like to level a new alt, and remembered I had this guy sitting gathering dust on Mannoroth.

So I go to the paid char transfer and try to transfer him to my new server... It says N/A in both the move character and avaliable move time boxes. So I log on and try to log in to him, I can't. I get this message saying that I must wait for a character update that I initiated to finish.

I googled this and found out this is the message you get if you have a transfer or name change pending for a toon. Well I go to the account to double check and nothing. I have no pending anythings, and I can't transfer this guy nor log in to him.

What is wrong?
