Now, I understand the biggest complaint / opposition I am going to receive is that we did fine pre-BC without them, and that the Horde raided fine without even having salvation etc etc .
But in my opinion, that's akin to saying "we were fine without the internet" ...
Look, I know it's possible to pug / raid without threat meter. But the point remains, why make it harder on oneself?
Try to look at it from a different point of view. I don't care how extra-ordinary your DPS is, whatever happens you are not supposed to be generating more threat than the tank. In general the threat generated by DPS scales higher than the rate at which tanks generate TPS. When everyone in the group has a threat meter, your group runs are made that much more efficient because you know exactly how much DPS to pump out .Without it, there's no reliable way to tell how close to the tank's threat you have reached with those last 2 crits of yours.
Why gimp yourself?
