Gul'dan is in serious trouble!

According to the realm census of Warcraftrealms.com, Gul'dan has a very bad ratio for Alliance compared to the horde. According to the ratio it shows that there is 1 Alliance player for every 7.6 horde on Gul'dan, and the ratio is accurate just by taking a stroll through Ironforge, where it is clear that NPCs outnumber real players. While people will say that it is a inaccurate source for population, it is the only one we have since Blizzard doesn't publish any sort of census. Gul'dan on the Alliance side has no guilds in BT/Hyjal, and just one in TK/SSC. There is little to no world PvP on this server, and very few options that can be taken to reverse this issue. We have recently had the 2 biggest guilds on the Alliance side transfer off (Mutiny and Nerdcraft). We ask that blizzard take immediate action and merge us with another server, or open free transfers to our realm (this would be the least preferred action because Gul'dan doesn't offer much for people to transfer to, since it is often refered to as Gul'down because of several periods in the history realm for it being taken down for matience). Blue post please!

It's actually pretty stable looking statistics-wise, maintaining an even peak-population over the past month. The faction balance is almost a perfect 2:1, horde heavy, which is fairly normal for PvP realms. PvE tends to be alliance heavy at about 2:1, so it's flipped but definitely within an acceptable difference and comparison to other realms.

Regardless, you're noticing an issue in your ability to enjoy the game, and we certainly understand and are working to help out any realms that need it. We are, however, working from the bottom up. That is to say we need to focus players and transfers to a small number or realms at a time, and as can be understood we're helping those first that need the most help. As we move up the list we'll be working to assist other realms, and as needed we'll be employing different methods to help assist in any realm issues that require it.

Q u o t e:
Is this reading based on active players, or total players that simply exist on the realm?

We only read active players.

Q u o t e:
during peak hours, I can /who <class>, and get less than 49 people, usually less than 20, for any given class. On my horde account, it's the opposite - during peak hours, /who <class> yields 40-49 of every class.

I can't attest to your numbers but they look to pretty much fall in line with the 2:1 ratio I mentioned.
