A little while back I got warned, probably like... 1 week ago. For something minor. I got warned.

My friend does something on my computer in LFG and I get a 72 hour ban?

The gm whispered me and said hi may I speak to you.

I said sure..

.................

Disconnected from server.

I was confused.

Checked my email and it said 72 ban....

This is strange because I went from a Warning to a 72 hour ban without the chance to talk to a GM

I sent you guys an email probably 30 minutes ago and no response..

Whats going on?

Let's consult our friendly Terms of Use (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/legal/termsofuse.html):
Q u o t e:
1. Establishment of a World of Warcraft Account.

You may not share the Account with anyone, except that if you are a parent or guardian, you may permit one (1) minor child to use the Account when not in use by you. You are liable for all uses of the Account. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, you acknowledge and agree that you shall have no ownership or other property interest in the Account, and you further acknowledge and agree that all rights in and to the Account are and shall forever be owned by Blizzard Entertainment.

Q u o t e:
5. Account/Password Security.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Password, and you will be responsible for all uses of your Password, whether or not authorized by you. Also, note that the security of the Account is your responsibility.

To be frank, it doesn't matter if the account was being shared or if the account owner was at an internet cafe and walked away to grab their vanilla latte and a parrot flew through an open window and typed out racial slurs - the account owner is responsible for securing their own account.

Also, please take note of the Penalty Volcano. You have admittedly received at least one warning on the account, and I see here that we have sent numerous e-mails with clear information concerning our policies: http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowaa/?id=aaa02010p

If you haven't taken the time yet to review our in-game policies concerning harassment please do: http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowgm/?id=agm01719p

I would like to stress this particular section, as it is an extreme offense and one should know about it:
Q u o t e:
Racial/Ethnic
This category includes both clear and masked language which:

* Promotes racial/ethnic hatred
* Is recognized as a racial/ethnic slur
* Alludes to symbols of racial/ethnic hatred

With regards to the delay in responding to your e-mail, note that there are many, many customers that require assistance from the Game Master Department and the Account Administration Department; the e-mails, in-game petitions and other forms of contact are addressed in the order they are received. If you've e-mail Account Administration disputing the account action (as described in the e-mail we sent) you should expect there to be at least a twenty four hour turnaround.

I am so very sorry that it took nearly 15 minutes for me to reply to your post, but I hope this information does aid you in preventing this from happening in the future.

Hello again folks! It's great to be back. ;)

In the off-chance that there was indeed an issue with the communication between the Game Master and you during the account suspension I had a look into the conversation that transpired. The conversation definitely continued beyond a simple greeting, however it does appear that you may have been distracted. I see here that you were busy when the Game Master contacted you concerning the suspension, busy holding a conversation with the character you're posting on now.

Therena, I apologize if the information or method of my posts in this thread is unsatisfactory. You're more than welcome to provide any feedback or concerns to [email protected].

With regards to the original topic, there doesn't seem to be anything else to discuss. If the original poster wishes to pursue challenging the actions taken against the account they must contact Account Administration. I still strongly advise reviewing the policies and documents I mentioned in my original post, as that will prevent this from repeating itself. ;)
