What's with the Secrecy? Patch Tomorrow?

Why is it always like some kind of CIA conspiracy wether or not the patch is coming out? Seems only obvious to me that the Dowloader is going to spawn some controversy. Can't you throw your customers a bone and just say yes or no?

The background downloader is designed to deliver patch data before a patch is released. It's a situation we should all become accustomed to as the acquisition of data can happen in any amount at any time and with no relation to the imminent release of a patch.

It is our normal practice not to announce patch release dates or schedules and we don't intend to change that practice due to data being delivered beforehand.
