Bad rumour - Blue Tracker

Hello there i was told in a game the other day that BC ( Burning Crusade ) is for tier 3 only players and you must be cvered in purples and completed AQ to go through the portal.

I must admit i was very disturbed by this as i am a casual player and going to buy the CD and if this is true i really cant see myself and probably 100K++ of other players not getting through.

Without letting out any major secret of the forth coming patch could u please tell me is this.
