Cdega != 3rd party automation software

Again Cdega aka Winex is not 3rd party automation software and I am asshamed that blizzard has not release an apology to everyone that was affected. Myself being a linux/bsd supporter using Slackware back before it was slackware. Back when slackware was nothing more than a series of patches for SLS linux.

I happen to use cdega but not for wow as i have a box dedicated to wow and for the simple reason that I wanted to keep wow away from my work machine so i simply put windows on the spare box.

Any way everyone who if for opensource software and does not want to be tied to having be a mindless windows zealot. Or an smug apple loving hippie.

Blizzard has commited crimes against the opensource community and blizzard owes everyone an apology.

Thank you, Celenna. For those of you who have not reviewed Tseric's response, I'll quote it here:

"We have been testing our security software with Cedega. Cedega was used and tested before the security procedures and during the security procedures. From this testing we have yielded no hits, meaning Cedega, by itself, does not incur an account suspension.

We have accounts of several Cedega users who have been playing normally during the time that these processes are running. Again, these people are not being suspended simply because of using Cedega or Linux.

We are in contact with the people at Cedega and following up with them regarding individual accounts.

To answer the OP's question, no it is not against the ToS to use Linux or Cedega. We continue to monitor the situation to prevent cases of false positives and to rectify them if they do occur."

As has been mentioned several times the only place to dispute an account action is via our Account Administration Department. Please pursue this matter further through the proper channels: http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowaa/
