Compromised Account Recovery Success Stories

My husband just had his account hijacked today sadly. He got an email saying his password was successfully changed, even though he'd never changed it. Since the email address associated with his account wasn't changed, he was able to finally do a password retrieval, log in, change the password and regain control of his account. He then placed a ticket with a GM.

I'll spare you the messy details of what was lost, but while we're waiting to hear back from a GM, I was hoping to hear from you guys to get a general feel for an ETA on getting this sorted out, how much he should expect back, etc. I could use some reassurance and/or a dose of reality.

Currently, the wait time may be a bit quicker than most players have predicted recently, Génesis; however, I'm only able to offer the standard "as soon as possible response" response.

It is our goal to restore accounts as closely to pre-compromise level as possible, my friend. Regrettably, we are unable to guarantee any restoration, I assure you that Specialist will give it their all in their attempts to restore the account. :)
