Idea regarding the timezone confusion.

I just had an interesting idea, cause it seems like a large number of people are confused about the timezone and when repairs / changes / tinkering will be done.

Right now, the person responsible for posting the "Breaking News" that you are confronted with when you open the game client posts something like "The tinkering will be done at 11:00 AM PST" Now, I'd like to submit, maybe a small piece of code that the game client understands, so that the poster could instead post something like this: "The tinkering will be done at <time="11am" zone="pst"> and then the game client says "Aha! he means is 2:00 PM cause we're not in PST we're in EST!"

Good idea or bad?

The only way I can think that it would be able to do that would be to interpret the computer's clock it's running on, and you wouldn't believe how many people have their computer's date/time set to sometime in the late 80's because ... well, I won't interpret that.

It would end up hurting the same people that don't understand timezones.

Q u o t e:
I believe time zones are on the curriculum for primary schools in the US.

Adding or subtracting up to 3 should not be beyond the reach of the US consumer.

I hope.
