Devs: You did not think...

The devs didn't think their cunning plan through...

By removing gossip & dialog from all the NPCs, the following things were broken:
1) Rogue trainers no longer tell the location of lockboxes to skillup lockpicking on
2) Cooking, Fishing, and First Aid trainers no longer tell where/how to get beyond 125 (Journeyman)

Perhaps someone can comment on why these things were broken or whether they'll ever be fixed? Apparantly they're not actual bugs, but I've never before heard of a suggestion to "fix" something that was broken so please don't point at the Suggestions forum.

They are actually technically "bugs" because it wasn't an intended change. Removal of gossip text was an overall change, but it wasn't intended to remove the helpful text that provides information on training professions/lockpicking. It's a known issue, but thank you for bringing it up.

Are they ever putting the boat NPCs back? I miss those too.

We intend to. The original implementation caused a lot of issues, so they had to be removed. We're working on a permanent solution to get them back in if possible.

I hear this, yet nobody I know or have heard from has had these issues you speak of. I think it is a conspiracy. Blizz is holding all the crews hostage on GM Island.

If I remember correctly they were actually crashing realms or instance servers, something very severe.
