Blizz: Casuals get shafted again - WotLK

This game was supposedly supposed to be casual friendly, but when it comes to instances and expansions, there is virtually no way casual players are ever going to see this content!

I was excited when Burning Crusade was released, but I didn't quite realize at the time that NO ONE would ever want to run any of the old instances. As a result I’ve never seen, UBRS, MC, ZG, Onyxia, BWL, AQ, etc.

I play this game as my time permits, and unfortunately I have little to look forward to in the next expansion simply because I probably will NEVER see half it's content! I don't mind being so far behind the "curve", but you give seasoned players little to no good reason to run this old content again, which I think is a big oversight!

-Edit-
For what little it's worth now. There is a lot of argument over what is "casual" and what isn't. Honestly that really isn't important to me, although I would say I am on the casual side of the spectrum.

My intended point of my post was that it is hard to find others to run the OLD content. I was hoping Blizzard might think of implementing an incentive for "seasoned" players to go back and rerun and thus overall increasing chances of finding a group for those who have never been. As of now the only incentive is for Nostalgia sake.

I think it's best to wait until you know more about what we have planned for Wrath of the Lich King (beyond what we've already shared when we're ready to share it) before getting too concerned about what you might not see.

We do have plans to make sure everyone can get as much exposure to the storyline and events of Wrath of the Lich King as possible.

As for the other areas you have yet to see, at level 70 you should be able to convince others who are of like experience to join you in going back to some of those places and experiencing them. Nothing is stopping you.

I've killed Onyxia many times but know people that have seen her only once, and I've offered to take them back to visit her (and see if she deep breaths more). I think it would be fun to do. I know others that have only recently taken people into Molten Core. I know others that plan to give Naxxramas a visit before the expansion.

While you may not have gotten to experience them when others were, the way is still there for you to go back and see it with fresh eyes.

Does this mean that Old Naxxramas is going to stick around?

Until the expansion. There is time to still see it as it is and where it is. :)

And because this is an MMO, I'm hoping you can see the inherent flaw in your..."logic". Or lack thereof.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again, my experiences may not always be the same as others, but I can assure you, I am very aware that people can and do go into these 'older' instances still and enjoy doing it just for the sake of doing it. Others are perfectly capable of doing the same.

As someone else mentioned, start something on your realm forum and put something together. There are bound to be others that would equally like to go in and experience things that they may not have gotten to in the past.

My logic isn't flawed. You are just looking for a bigger reason to go there beyond "because we can". While I understand that some people want more out of it, it doesn't mean that everyone is looking for something out of it beyond the experience.
