Lunar Festival? Blizz forget about content.

Simply put Blizz, the Lunar Festival is the biggest load of crap content you ever put in. I honestly have no damn clue why this load of BS is in the game coding. You waste your damn time putting this in and you don't put the time into 2.4 or the endless delay of WotLK. Vivendi must have ya by the teabaggahs in milking the TBC expansion. BTW TBC is horrible and WoW classic will always be far superior.

So Blizz get your act together and kill this content.

If the designers of NAX ran this company, players of WoW would be highly enfranchised and very lucky. But greedy bastids as ya are, WotLK wont be out til Christmas of this year. So to use the title of this post, I think all the collective WoW clients should drop their collective pants/skirts and moon ya.

I guess you missed the post from a Blue earlier this week where they stated they haven't updated the Lunar Festival this year (again) because they've got other stuff that has higher priority.

It seems they did, my friend, but far be it for me to let that information go unheeded.

Hello Xenophobae (what an interesting and somewhat ironic name, considering the topic). I am one of the designers on the World Team, a team specifically dedicated to creating holiday content and world flavor. I assure you our team is not delaying the patch or the expansion; my team is one of many working on a schedule to bring you, the player, content, in the form of both patches and the upcoming expansion.

Lunar Festival was not updated this year, nor the previous year, though this year people who have done the content previously can again collect the coins. Our team is focused on other matters of slightly higher priority; Lunar Festival, while it has been around a while, is a substantial holiday in its own right, and other aspects of the world and our holidays need the attention. :)

It may be that you do not consider this content up your alley, and I don't fault you for that; however, World of Warcraft houses players of many opinions and playstyles, and there are quite a number who do enjoy our holiday content. I hope you continue to enjoy the aspects of the game that appeal to you. :)

Can you fix the fire works quest at least I threw a lot more fire 8 singles and 2 clusters in there and never got it to say 1/8 or 1/2... and what is the elune stone for just getting a light beam?

I must ask... were you in a raid? :) I did the quest just last night and it worked flawlessly.

And yes, it causes a light beam to appear.

We're aware of Harvest Festival, yes... it's something we've noted. :)

That line made me laugh. Well if all you do is flip a switch on content created two years ago without any added improvement I would hope your on schedule :) Not like you went out of your way to create anything new lol.

Understand that we work quite a bit in the future. The work I'm doing right now is something players won't see for months.

I think this might be the first time I've seen a blue post that didn't just say "soon." lol
Sorry, hope that didn't come out wrong. I'm not one of those people who try and give blue posters grief and I'm not trying to do that here. It just struck me as funny.

Don't take that as a release date for the patch, because that isn't what I meant. ;)

Holidays fire off on certain dates. The holiday in particular I'm working on won't start for months, and therefore, the content won't be seen, really, until that time.

I just wanted to say thanks for coming to the forums and providing us with information as you always do. I'm sure that being a World Designer, you have the liberty to talk about a bit more than the CMs and we're happy to have you here. Is there anything in particular you could tell us about upcoming holiday added content, new holidays, or the like? Maybe there's nothing you can release at this point, but we always appreciate your straightforward answers.

Also, would you by chance have any other "Designer" friends who you could ask to come to the forums? I think the player base really responds to having you around (with the exception of a few....less than graceful individuals, as always) and some of the enmity on the forums could be decreased if Designer/Developer level Blizz representatives could come here and comment on quest/raid/pvp etc. I know they're all busy with what they do, but since you are allowed/wish to be here, maybe there are others who share your sentiments?

I don't have anything specific to reveal at this point; there's time enough to wait before our next big revamp hits.

Also, there are quite a few designers on these forums; even if they're not posting, they're reading (and yes, naysayers, that includes the Suggestion Forum!) We comment when we have things to say, generally, but we don't want to steal the thunder from our Community Team. They're your real go-to people when it comes to seeking questions answered or wanting to give feedback; I just haunt the forums more frequently when there's a holiday up and running to make certain nothing's gone awry.

As for me, these forums are... in my blood, let's say. :)

you know what i realized while reading the blue responces.....

the lunar festival is obviously Kisriani's favorite holiday. How do i know? look at their forum avatar... its the dog from moonglade for this holiday

It's not my favorite, no, but it's readily recognizable (or was, before that darn Kurken) as Omen, one of the icons of holiday events. :)

Plus, an "omen" is a harbinger of some future event, and thus is event-oriented in its own right.

There is a method to my madness. ;)
