It was all an accident, but anybody with that much health being "trapped" has to be starving for attention...

I had no idea he had so much health when it happened too. I accidentally aggroed him with an AoE ability, the guy walks straight out of his "cage" while I'm fighting ogres and it turned into a long battle, but I prevailed.
