Banned as well today - never broken a rule.

Out of no where my accounts were closed today - I've never cheated, I've never used exploits, or bugs - yet suddenly I'm banned for modifying the game client. Nothing in my setup has changed in over two years:

I use WINeq2 for window mode, and the most recent addition to my mods is omen.

Blizzard, you've made a mistake here - you've banned people who were innocent. I hope you come to fix this problem in the course of the next week.

If I'm getting banned, I'd like to at least deserve it.

Q u o t e:
Vrakthis or another GM,

Could you verify that my e-mail was received and that it is in the queue or some such regarding this issue? I would appreciate it.

One of my characters is : Xsdump on Shattered Hand.
Thank you.

Sorry, Saqi, I meant to reply but I got distracted. :)

Your e-mails have been received and our Account Administration will review your case and get back to you as soon as possible.

Ribbon, I have no information on this program but from the sounds of it, harmless or not it does alter the game client; and there is an option for a windowed mode in the default interface. I would avoid it.

If you believe that was the case, Aimshott, contact our Account Administration Department and let them know your theory an investigation can be launched to verify your claims. '

Q u o t e:

Thank you Vrak. Do I send an email regarding my old account to [email protected]?

You'll need to send the e-mail from your registered e-mail address but yes that is the place you can send it although I always liked the webform since it has all the information set up so neatly. :)

Webform: http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowaa/?id=eSupport000

If you no longer have access to the registered e-mail address on the account you'll need to contact our Billing Department to update your contact information.

You can call 1 (800) 592 5499 (1-800-59-BLIZZARD) Monday through Friday 8AM-8PM (PST) for live representation.
Australian users should please call 1-800-041-378 if the standard 800 line does not work.

Q u o t e:

Anyhow, are you able to give me the general breakdown of how the investigations go?

Sorry, Aimshott, I am not part of AA or our hacks team so I do not know what tools they use or information they are looking for.

I'm a bit hopeless when it comes to the more complicated technical aspects so even if I could talk about our investigation process I'd probably have to explain it with stick figures. :D
