Hey everyone!

Ever seen someone in-game say they were a Game Master, but thought it looked a little fishy?

Ever thought to yourself “Boy, I sure wish I could verify for certain if this is a real Blizzard support representative”?

Well, think no more!

With the release of Patch 2.4, we’re adding a little something to Game Master interactions—any and all chat from a Game Master or other support representative in-game will be preceded by a little Blizzard logo, like the kind you see next to blue posts.

This should remove any worry of Game Master impersonation, assuring you that the information you’re providing is going to Blizzard and to no one else.

Any idea when 2.4 will hit the PTR?

Would you settle for "soon"? ;)

I reported a player recently for impersonating a Game Master, but never heard anything back. I'd like to know what happened in this situation. Is there any way to find out? I understand that it wouldn't be posted publicly, but hoped to hear back from Blizzard. I know this person wasn't a GM, there was no Blizzard logo, and if they appear in person, it will say Game Master by their name. I played along and pretended I believed them enough for them to leave incriminating remarks, then immediately reported them. I haven't seen them on lately, and wondered if that was a discipline.

You won't hear back, but all reports are investigated, Black.

Please, don't bring up posts from February of '08. You are more than welcome to start a fresh one with concerns.
